Since 2024, Science & Technology Progress and Policy has become a fully open access journal. All articles published since its inception in 1984 are freely available to all readers on the journal's official website and can be used, copied, and disseminated under the CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 license agreement.

Articles in this journal are published under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0). Article Archiving Policy
All journal articles are digitally archived and can be searched and downloaded from the journal's website. To ensure data security, all information is also backed up in the editorial office. In the event of discontinuation, readers can access past issues from platforms such as CNKI and Wanfang Data.
Author Self-Archiving
This journal permits authors to store all versions of their articles in institutional or other subject repositories of their choice. The metadata of the article in the repository must include the standard journal publication information and be provided as the recommended citation.
Data Sharing
To further enhance research verifiability and reproducibility, and to promote research integrity and quality, Science & Technology Progress and Policy actively advocates and practices the concept of open science. The journal encourages authors to submit supplementary resources such as research data, code, and research materials that support their research along with their articles. These will be published alongside the article through the journal's publishing platform.
