Influence of Illegitimate Tasks on Employee Innovative Behavior: the Role of Psychological Detachment and Temporal Leadership |

Abstract Based on the work stressors-detachment extension model,this study built and testified a moderated mediation model in order to analyze the relationship between illegitimate tasks and employee innovative behavior.The results show that illegitimate tasks has a significant negative impact on employee innovative behavior,and psychological detachment partly mediated the relationship between illegitimate tasks and employee innovative behavior; Temporal leadership positively moderated the relationship between illegitimate tasks and psychological detachment,also moderated the indirect effect of illegitimate tasks on employee innovative behavior through psychological detachment.These conclusions have important management implications for how to improve the enthusiasm and enthusiasm of employees to participate in innovative practice activities in Chinese enterprises.
