International Strategic Context, International Ambidextrous Learning and Innovation Catch-up of Latecomer Enterprises |

Abstract Integrating international strategy theory and ambidexterity learning theory, this paper constructs a relational model of the international strategic context, the balance and the combination of international ambidextrous learning and innovation catch-up.Based on survey data from 327 export-oriented manufacturing enterprises in Yangtze River Delta, we find that international strategic context, the balance and the combination of international ambidextrous learning are all positively influence innovation catch-up, international strategic context positively influence the balance as well as the combination of international ambidextrous learning, besides, the balance and the combination of international ambidextrous learning both have partial intermediate effect between international strategic context and innovation catch-up.This paper reveals the internal mechanism between international ambidextrous learning and innovation catch-up, extends the theoretical space of internationalization, organizational learning and innovation catch-up, in addition, it is of great significance for local enterprises to effectively implement innovation catch-up in practice.
