NonConsensus Research and the Improvement of Original Innovation Ability in Universities |

Abstract Non consensus research is a kind of research behavior or activity that contains uncertain and innovative, which is difficult for experts to reach an agreement on it in the early stage. From the perspective of non consensus research, this paper explores the restrictive factors and coping strategies of improving the original innovation ability of colleges and universities, which will help to provide ideas for Chinese colleges and universities to solve the original innovation problems. The study found that, Non consensus research is closely related to the improvement of the original innovation ability of universities. It provides the possibility for the improvement of the original innovation ability of universities in terms of opening up new theoretical territory, promoting the production of original achievements, and creating inclusive innovation environment. However, in the process of practice, the problems faced by non consensus research in evaluation environment, intervention behavior, academic justice, multiple participation also restrict the improvement of original innovation ability of universities. Therefore, from the perspective of non consensus research, the improvement of the original innovation ability of universities can be attempted through the creation of inclusive evaluation mechanism, the construction of scientific intervention model, the establishment of open appeal process and the expansion of multiple support systems.
