Abstract The transition of industrial structure affects the direction and the quality of economic development. Nowadays, China faces the great pressure to adjust its industrial structure to be healthier, hence, enhancing the transition of its industrial structure via militarycivilian merging becomes a new choice. This paper analyzes the development paths of achieving the transition via the development of militarycivilian merging. By taking Shaanxi Province as an example, this paper studies the current situation of the industrial structure in Shaanxi Province and analyzes five "coexisting" problems. The aerospace industry is investigated further and the parallel multiple mediation model is applied. Based on the empirical research, this paper proposes the paths which can promote the transition of the industrial structure in Shaanxi Province by militarycivilian merging. In addition, it also makes suggestions on enhancing the transition of the industrial structure through militarycivilian merging.
