Enterprise Capability Upgrading under the Co-evolution of Business Model Innovation and Technology Innovation |

Abstract This article conducts a longitudinal single case study of Geely Automobile, a late-stage enterprise in the automotive industry, to deeply analyze the internal mechanism of manufacturing enterprises to achieve capacity upgrading through the development of business model innovation and technology innovation.The research results show that:①the co-evolution between business model innovation and technology innovation has a positive impact on the upgrading of enterprise capability.The interaction between efficiency business model innovation and market-oriented technology innovation can promote the upgrading of enterprise capabilities and complementarity, lock-in and novelty business model innovation interact with market oriented and technology oriented technology innovation has an enhanced effect on enterprise capability upgrading.While the interaction between efficiency business model innovation and technology oriented has weakened the ability on upgrading;②the effectiveness of capacity upgrading will also have a feedback on the direction of the two and promote the process of co-evolution facilitate the development of upgrading; ③as for large manufacturing enterprises, in the initial stage of development, the combination of efficiency business model innovation and market-oriented technology innovation is conducive to the accumulation of enterprise capacity.In the later stage, with complementary, lock-in and novelty business model innovation to increase and then combined with technology oriented innovation will be more conducive to realize innovation.
