Abstract Science and technology innovation enterprises are an important driving force for economic and social development. Previous studies have found that government support does have a significant impact on the performance of sci-tech innovation companies, but the result about the specific impact direction and mechanism has not yet reached consensus. The study adopts research methods such as literature review and questionnaire survey to collect 437 samples of sci-tech innovation enterprises, and empirically studies the moderation effect model of the relationship between government support and the performance of sci-tech innovation enterprises. The study found that government support significantly positively affects the performance of science and innovation enterprises; compared with the current literature, this study also found that the science and innovation leadership of science and innovation entrepreneurs has a significant moderating effect on the relationship between government support and the performance of science and innovation enterprises, indicating that the stronger the leadership of science and technology innovation, the stronger the positive impact of government support on the performance of science and technology innovation enterprises.
