Green Technology Innovation Efficiency of Advanced Manufacturing and its Environmental Regulation Threshold Effect |

Abstract The measurement model of green technology innovation efficiency in advanced manufacturing was constructed based on range adjusted measure (RAM) and stochastic frontier analysis (SFA), and then economic level, public quality and government support intensity were used as its environmental variables. The efficiency of green technology innovation was analyzed empirically by the advanced manufacturing panel data for 30 provinces in China from 2006 to 2016, and the threshold effect between it and environmental regulation was analyzed. Results showed that the regulation factor and statistical noise in the efficiency evaluation could cause deviation of measurement results and environmental variables had differentiated impact on the input and output relaxation variables. The ranking of advanced manufacturing green technology innovation efficiency in most provinces would be changed after the relaxation variable was adjusted. However, although the green technology innovation efficiency of advanced manufacturing industry had a trend of steady upward, their overall efficiency was still low. Meanwhile, the green technology innovation efficiency had formed "three major gradients" in space layout, and also a significant "urban linkage effect". The formal and informal environment regulation had a single threshold value for the green technology innovation efficiency of advanced manufacturing, but they were "U" and inverted "U" type relationship. Moreover, the capital intensity and industry profit margin had a positive effect on the green technology innovation efficiency of advanced manufacturing.
