|
|
Abstract We focus on the innovation activity of Chinese firms, and examine the effects of technology transfer, the interaction between technology transfer and constructive conflict, and the interaction between technology transfer and destructive conflict on radical innovation performance of technology receivers. In addition, we explore the moderating role of realized absorptive capacity of technology receivers. Then we explore the relationships using data from 251 Chinese firms. The findings show that technology transfer has a positive relationship with radical innovation performance of technology receivers. The interaction between technology transfer and constructive conflict is complementary to radical innovation performance of technology receivers. The interaction between technology transfer and destructive conflict is detrimental to radical innovation performance of technology receivers. Realised absorptive capacity of technology receivers enhances the positive relationship between technology transfer and radical innovation performance.
