Abstract The exist methods for select collaborative customer only considered customer's characteristics and ignored the impacts of product innovation requirements. This study proposes an integrated approach for customer selection which considers both product innovation requirements and customer's characteristics. This approach analyzes the relationship between product innovation requirements and the criteria that used to select customer through constructing a house of quality model. Then, this study proposes an approach combined fuzzy weighted average and-cut,which can enables the fusion of fuzzy information expressed as linguistic variables,to determine the weight of each criterion.Futhermore,an approach based on rough number is proposed to determine the value of the customers with regard to each criterion when the number of customers is large. Finally,a case study is provided to demonstrate the application and effectiveness of the proposed method.
