The Effect of Humility Culture on Knowledge Workers' Innovation Performance:Chain Mediating Effect of Risk-Taking and Effective Trust |

Abstract Culture of humility is one of the latest topics in the field of organizational culture research.Yet at this initial stage,the relevant studies on culture of humility are far from being sufficiently researched.Based on the organizational support and intrinsic motivation theory,the study builds the mediating effect model of culture of humility and creative performance of knowledge workers.Using Hierarchical regression and structural equation model were used for empirical analysis.An Empirical Analysis based on 268 samples of effective knowledge workers found that:(1) humility culture exerts significantly positive effect on knowledge workers' innovation performance;(2) effective trust and risk-taking willing play a chain mediating effect between humility culture and innovation performance.Namely,humility culture directly influence the knowledge workers' effective trust,as well as through improving the effective trust indirectly strengthen their risk-taking willing,ultimately increased innovation performance.The study is the first effort to explore the determinants of innovation performance from the perspective of humility culture,which may provide theoretical guidance for innovation management in organizations.
