| The Empirical Research on the Relationship between International Entrepreneurial Orientation and Business Performance: the Moderating Effect of Environment |

Abstract The paper devotes on investigating the relationship between international entrepreneurial orientation and international performance. It proposes that the relationship between international entrepreneurial orientation and international performance is inverted U shape. Meanwhile, this relationship is moderated by environment stability and environmental hostility. Based upon a sample of 219 Chinese international firms, findings support that although international entrepreneurial orientation are beneficial, they can weaken a firm's international performance in foreign markets, after a certain point. Environment stability strengthens the inverted U shape and environment hostility weakens the inverted U shape.
