The Effect of Learning from Failures on Enterprise Performance |

Abstract Previous studies have suggested that learning from failures plays an important effect on enterprise performance, but the research on how learning from failures promotes enterprise performance is not perfect. A multi-path model of the impact of learning from failures on enterprise performance is constructed by introducing resource bricolage and opportunity identification as intermediary variables based on the theory of learning from failures, and explores the driving path of learning from failures on enterprise performance and its internal mechanism. The results reveal that learning from failures has a positive effect on enterprise performance, resource bricolage and opportunity identification play a mediating role between learning from failures and enterprise performance respectively, and resource bricolage and opportunity identification multiply mediate the effcet of learning from failures on enterprise performance.Strategic flexibility strengthens the relationship between resource bricolage and firm performance, and positively adjusts the mediating role of resource bricolage.The research conclusion expands the influence path of learning from failures on enterprise performance, and has important enlightenment for enterprise recovery and growth.
