The Impact of Heterogeneous Resources on Enterprise Eco-innovation |

Abstract In order to obtain long-term competitive advantages, enterprises should make full use of various resources for eco-innovation.Based on the resource-based theory (RBT), with resource management as an intermediary, it discusses the mechanism of the impact of heterogeneous resources on corporate eco-innovation.Using 406 manufacturing enterprises as samples, the partial least squares structural equation model (PLS-SEM) and the fuzzy set qualitative comparative analysis method (fsQCA) are used for empirical testing.The study found that both internal resources and external resources have a positive impact on enterprise eco-innovation, and resource management plays a part of the intermediary role in the process of heterogeneous resources affecting eco-innovation.In the second-order model of eco-innovation, the role of ecological management innovation is significantly better than that of ecological product innovation and ecological process innovation.Two antecedent configurations leading to low eco-innovation were further discovered through fsQCA.The research expands the application of resource-based theory in the field of enterprise eco-innovation, and provides references for Chinese enterprises to develop or evaluate their eco-innovation behavior.
