Research on the Coupling and Coordination Measurement of Technological Innovation and High-quality Economic Development in Chengdu-Chongqing Double-city Economic Circle |

Abstract The development of the dual-city economic circle in the Chengdu-Chongqing region is an important part of the implementation of the ‘One Belt One Road’ and the construction of the national innovation system. Under the conditions that my country's economic development has transformed from high-speed growth to medium-high-speed growth, and the growth mode has been transformed from factor-driven to innovation-driven, the positive impact of technological innovation on high-quality economic development is constantly increasing. This paper selects the city-level regional statistical data in the Chengdu-Chongqing double-city economic circle from 2010 to 2018, and based on the gray correlation analysis method, constructs a coupling and coordination model of technological innovation and high-quality economic development and conducts empirical analysis. The results show that,in terms of time, the degree of coupling and coordination of the Chengdu-Chongqing area has shown an upward trend year by year; in terms of space, the degree of coupling and coordination of Chengdu is slightly higher than that of Chongqing, and Chongqing is significantly higher than the rest of the economic circle. And there is extreme disharmony and imbalance between the three. Based on the research results, specific suggestions are put forward for strengthening scientific and technological innovation, improving the quality of high-quality development, and improving the degree of coupling and coordination for the Chengdu-Chongqing Double City Economic Circle.
