Research on the Coupling Relationship and Regional Differences between Craftsmanship and Technological Innovation Capability in Manufacturing |

Abstract Technological innovation is an inevitable requirement to implement the innovation-driven manufacturing development strategy and achieve the upward trend of the manufacturing industry against the background of the novel coronavirus pandemic,while technological innovation is inseparable from the practice of the craftsmanship. Based on the improved entropy method,the paper constructs an evaluation index system of craftsmanship and technological innovation capability,and introduces a coupling coordination model to analyze the results of the measurement of craftsmanship and technological innovation capability in 31 provincial regions of mainland China from 2011 to 2018. And then coefficient of variation and Theil index are involved to examine the regional differences in the level of their coupling coordination. The empirical results show that craftsmanship and technological innovation capability of 31 provincial regions in manufacturing of China have been significantly improved,and the coordinated development relationship between those is obvious,but there is still a certain gap with the realization of good coordinated development. Although the overall difference in the coupling coordination degree between four regions is relatively large,it is shrinking; the provincial coordination difference is gradually narrowing,and the reduction degree of inter-regional coordination difference is greater than that in the region,and the rate of intra-regional contribution is much higher than that between the regions.
