Product Market Competition, Knowledge Spillover and Enterprise Technical Efficiency Improvement |

Abstract This paper using the panel data of 248 defense technology enterprises and private enterprises with military qualification integration listed companies from 2009 to 2017, studying the relationship between product market competition, knowledge spillover and enterprise technical efficiency in two stages(2009-2012,2013-2017).The results show that product market competition has a significant promoting effect on the improvement of technological efficiency of enterprises, and this positive effect in private enterprises with military qualification is more significant than in defense technology, and with the further integration of defense and private economy, these two positive effects will be more significant and stronger than before results show. The interactive term of knowledge spillover and product market competition is further introduced and the empirical results show that the spillover of technical personnel's knowledge and output will restrain the positive effect of product market competition on technical efficiency with the increase of spillover degree. And in defense technology enterprises, the output spillover effect of technicians has a stronger inhibiting effect.
