Entrepreneurial Orientation and Internationalization Strategy of Family Firms: the Moderating Effect of Family Involvement |

Abstract The purpose of this paper is to explore the effect of entrepreneurial orientation on the internationalization of family firms, and to examine the moderating effect of family management and family generation in this relationship. The result reveals that entrepreneurial orientation positively impacts on the internationalization degree and speed of family firms. The result also shows that the positive effect of entrepreneurial orientation on the internationalization degree and speed is negatively moderated by family management and family generation. That is, entrepreneurial orientation will have a more intense effect on the internationalization degree and speed at lower levels of family management and family generation.
