Employee Creativity and Creative Deviance: Based on the research of Psychological Entitlement and Moral Disengagement |

Abstract The existing researches focused on the positive effect of employee creativity on organizational innovation performance, but fails to discuss the negative results and the mechanism. Under the overarching theoretical framework of moral self-regulation and psychological entitlement, this research endeavor to take advantage of moral disengagement as mediating mechanism and psychological entitlement as moderating mechanism to explain the mechanism and the boundary condition of the employee creativity affect the creative deviance behaviors. Based on 230 effective questionnaires surveyed in companies, the results indicate that employee creativity positively predicts the creative deviance behaviors; moral disengagement has mediated effect on the relationship between creativity and creative deviance; psychological entitlement has a positive moderated effect on the relationship between creativity and moral disengagement. The research effectively reveals the occurrence mechanism and constraint conditions of creative deviance, and provides a new theoretical perspective and practical inspiration for the management of workplace creative employees.
