Abstract Based on the theory of location quotient, This paper analyzed the change of talent agglomeration in China from two aspects: time and space.Then this paper used quantile regression to analyze the influencing factors of talent agglomeration in China.The results show that, the gap in talent agglomeration in various regions of China is decreasing year by year.According to the sequence from high to low, the degree of talent agglomeration of the eastern region is the highest, and the northeastern region takes the second place, the western region is the third one, and the central region is the lowest one.The economic development level and the local fiscal education input have significant positive effects on the talent agglomeration in all the points, the level of wages and public service has a significant positive effect on the talent agglomeration in the low points, the level of urbanization has a significant positive influence on the talent agglomeration in the high points, the university has a significant influence on the talent agglomeration in the middle quantile points, the effect of regional openness on talent agglomeration in different quantile points is not consistent.Finally, this paper gives some suggestions on economic base, policy environment, culture education and social environment to some regions with a low level of talent concentration.
