Abstract Employee constructive deviance behavior often violates the norms of the organization,but it can bring unpredictable benefits and positive changes.Based on the data of 188 sample questionnaires,the paper explores the immediate effect of humble leadership on employee constructive deviance behavior and the mediating role of leadermember exchange and the moderating role of perceived insider status.It arrives at the results as follows:humble leadership is positively related to employee constructive deviance behavior; leadermember exchange plays a partial mediating role in the positive relationship between humble leadership and employee constructive deviance behavior; perceived insider status positively moderates the relationship between humble leadership and employee constructive deviance behavior.The conclusion provides critical reference for the improvement of the relationship quality between leader and employee so that it enhances employee psychological safety to break away from conventions for organizational interests and then facilitates employee constructive deviance behavior.
