The Influence Mechanism of Market Learning Ability on New Product Development Performance |

Abstract The relationship between market learning ability and new product development performance has received increasing attention in the open innovation environment. This paper built a theoretical framework of "market learning ability - product development process capability-new product development performance" based on dynamic capability theory. Through empirical research, it is found that the product development process capability plays an intermediary role between market learning ability and new product development performance.The technical complexity magnificently intensifies the positive impact of market learning ability on the efficiency of product development process and weakens the positive impact of market knowledge exploration on the responsiveness of new product development processes.
