Abstract Based on the perspective of spatial network tie, this paper researched the evolution of UI collaboration innovation networks in China by using the universityindustry collaborative patent data. With increasingly number of innovation actors, this paper show that the innovation network has been covered in the whole country, however, it tends to be unbalanced for the spatial distribution of regional innovation interaction between innovation center area and non central area. That is increasingly obvious of the path dependence for spatial network tie, and presents the asymmetry phenomenon of technical knowledge transfer, and collaborative innovation activities present innovation center location lock, inefficiency network collaborative innovation effect. On the whole, that shows evolution of network pattern for the UI collaboration gravity core from "single core" to "three nuclear", the national innovation system is increasingly dependent on few central regions, the contradiction will be continued to enlarge between the local radiation effect of the central regional technology knowledge and national interregional balanced development. Therefore, it is necessary to allocation of resources optimize the organizational form of spatial network, promote the effect of spatial synergy innovation, and boost the evolution of national innovation system to the balanced innovation ecosystem.
