Research on the Industrialization Mode Based on Largescale Scientific Facilities

Abstract Largescale scientific facilities are key drivers for national technological innovation. Technological innovation and industrialization based on Largescale scientific facilities possess properties of particularity and scarcity. Relying on spallation neutron source, this paper proposed four types of industrialization modes by investigating firsthand information and interviewing key persons in British Harwell Campus and learning from successful experiences of spallation neutron source industry benchmarks, such as Japanese JPARC and Shanghai Synchrotron Radiation Facility. In particular, these four types of industrialization modes were University enterprise Cooperation, Selfenterprise, Selfscientific facility and Selfuniversity modes, respectively. By analyzing applicable conditions, advantages and disadvantages of these four types of industrialization modes, this paper concludes that the University enterprise cooperation mode is best suited for the future industrialization development of Dongguan's spallation neutron source based on the practical situations of Dongguan and the surroundings. Finally, we put forward relevant suggestions.
