Learning from Failure、 Unlearning Context and Organizational Creativity |

Abstract Drawing upon organizational learning and knowledge management theory,unlearning text and learning from failure is conductive to organizational creativity.Using 244 Chinese firms as the research objects,firstly test the direct effect of learning from failure on organizational creativity,and further analyze the mediating role of unlearning context between learning from failure and organizational creativity.Results show that learning from failure is positively related to organizational creativity.In addition,unlearning context (i.e.unlearning and consolidation of emergent understandings) plays different roles in the relationships on the learning from failure and organizational creativity.The relationship between learning from failure and organizational creativity is mediated not only by consolidation of emergent understandings,but also by the chain mediating effect of unlearning and consolidation of emergent understandings,but the single mediating effect of unlearning is not significant.
