Research on the Ambidextrous Cultural Driving Mechanism on Transformation and Upgrade |

Abstract Based on the perspectives of contextual ambidexterity, innovation theory and dynamic capabilities, it develops a deep understanding about the internal link between ambidextrous culture, radical and incremental innovation and firm transformation and upgrade. Eventually, a brand-new micro-drive mechanism for firm Transformation & Upgrade is launched. A questionnaire survey towards R&D teams in 217 Jiangxi traditional manufacturing is conducted, with the help from SPSS and AMOS statistical software and using regression and multiplicative interaction analyses etc. It is found that ambidextrous culture has a positive effect on both radical and incremental technological innovation, and through which it positively drives firm transformation and upgrade. The conclusions have reinforced the theoretical foundation of the ambidextrous culture and put a significant emphasis on the importance of managing flexible factors for firm innovative development. At last, implications and suggestions are given for future researches.
