The Spatial Diffusion Network Structure of R&D in Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Zone |

Abstract On the basis of bellows theory, using the space modified gravity model and social network analysis, the study explored the spatial diffusion network structure of R&D in chengdu-chongqing economic zone. The study found that the R&D distribution of chengdu-chongqing economic zone have a remarkable geopolitical proximity, the geographical proximity of north-south line is stronger than east-west line, the spatial diffusion network structure have the "main core-multicenter" feature, regional differentiation of "strong chain" and the "weak link" is obvious, the outdegree and indegree of spatial diffusion have serious polarization, the spatial diffusion direction is not fully compliant with the potential difference of the city economic development level, the cohesion subgroups of the spatial diffusion fit the border of regional economic integration.
