Abstract Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) is powered completely by the rechargeable battery,and has the advantages of no pollution, low noise, and major automobile countries are scrambling to research and development.This paper analyzes the patent annual distribution,patent technology life cycle, the main national patent layout, R&D efficiency of main competitors, and patent layout of main companies. Combining the research conclusions with the development situation can clearly reflects the development profile of BEV and China's competition status in the field, in order to provide a scientific reference for the technology research and development and the industrial strategy layout in China.
