Spatial Interactive Effect between the Sci-Tech Talents Agglomeration and |

Abstract The agglomeration of strategic emerging industries in specific regions leads to the agglomeration of sci-tech talents, and the spatial differences in the agglomeration of sci-tech talents affect the agglomeration development of strategic emerging industries between regions. Previous studies on the interaction between talents agglomeration and industries agglomeration ignore the spatial factors, so it can't fully depict the complex relationship between the agglomeration of sci-tech talents and the agglomeration of strategic emerging industries. This paper empirically tests the spatial interaction effect between sci-tech talents agglomeration and strategic emerging industries agglomeration using the panel data of 30 provinces in China during 2007—2017 through spatial simultaneous equation model. The results show that there is a remarkable mutual promoting effect between sci-tech talents agglomeration and strategic emerging industries agglomeration in China. The spatial spillover effects of sci-tech talents agglomeration and strategic emerging industries agglomeration are positive. The spatial interaction effect between sci-tech talents agglomeration and strategic emerging industries agglomeration is negative. Finally, the policy recommendations are proposed according to the empirical research findings.
