Abstract This study integrates the resourcebased view,knowledgebased view and dynamic capability theory,and explores the impact process of the interaction between internet capability and knowledge capability on the knowledge creation performance under the internet background.Special attention is paid to the important role of strategic flexibility in this process,thus building a mediated moderation effect model.Based on the survey data of 399 enterprises in China,we find that internet capability and knowledge capability have a significant positive impact on strategic flexibility.The interaction between internet capability and knowledge capability promotes knowledge creation performance through the mediating mechanism of strategic flexibility.There exists a mediated moderation effect.In theory,this research expands the antecedent research of resourcebased view and knowledgebased view on building organizational competitive advantage.In practice,it provides a practical reference for enterprises under the internet background to improve knowledge creation performance effectively.
