Business Model Transformation Based on Digital Enablement: A Case Study on Manufacturing Enterprise |

Abstract Foremost among capabilities of enterprises for the digital age is the ability to design and deliver new business models which take data as the core asset.First,the theoretical framework of business model transformation process for the digital age is summarized around customer value proposition and operation model.Second,according to the four typical business models in digital age,the business model types and characteristics of Shenyang machine tool corporation are analyzed based on its development process.Third,the business model transformation dynamics and process of Shenyang machine tool corporation is analyzed from the two dimensions of digital enabled customer value proposition and operation model reshaping.In the end,based on the case study,the business model transformation theoretical model in digital age is put forward around digital capabilities,transformation process and transformation outcome.
