Through the theoretical analysis and empirical test, the paper reveals the effects of open innovation on enterprise dual innovation capabilities, and the moderating role of external social capital. The empirical findings indicate that:①both inbound and outbound open innovation have a significant positive impact on incremental innovation capability and radical innovation capability;②external relational capital has a positive moderating influence between open innovation and incremental innovation capability and radical innovation capability;③external structural capital has a positive moderating role between open innovation and radical innovation capability, and no significant moderating effect between open innovation and incremental innovation capability; ④external cognitive capital has no significant influence between open innovation and incremental innovation capability and radical innovation capability.
