Abstract Regional science and technology infrastructure system is an important condition and supporting force for regional science and technology innovation and development. Referring to the existing research results, this paper analyzes the connotation of science and technology infrastructure from the narrow and broad perspectives, and puts forward the framework of regional science and technology infrastructure system from the narrow perspective of investment and the broad perspective of function; Taking Jiangsu Province as an example, based on the framework of regional science and technology infrastructure system in a broad sense, this paper analyzes the current situation of science and technology infrastructure system in Jiangsu Province, and finds out the weak links; According to the demand of Jiangsu Science and technology infrastructure construction during the 14th Five Year Plan period, this paper studies the structure of Jiangsu Science and technology infrastructure system during the 14th Five Year Plan period, and puts forward corresponding countermeasures and suggestions.
