The Mechanism of Negative Performance Feedback on the Dynamic Capability of New Ventures |

Abstract Drawing on organizational behavior theory and ambidextrous learning view,this study investigates the antecedent variable of dynamic capability,the mediating effect of exploratory and exploitative learning in the relationship between negative performance feedback and dynamic capability of new venture.We conducted survey of 429 new ventures’ data to test our hypotheses.Using multi-level structural equation model and Bootstrap method,this study's results supported the positively relationship between negative performance feedback and dynamic capability.Negative performance feedback positively influences the exploratory learning and utilization learning of new ventures,and the partial mediating effects of both exploratory and exploitative learning in accounting for the relationship between negative performance feedback and dynamic capability.
