| Research on Industrial Experience Heterogeneity of Entrepreneurial Team, Governance Mechanism and Venture Growth Performance |

Abstract This paper establishes a conceptual model of the influence of industrial experience heterogeneity on venture growth performance, with entrepreneurial team governance mechanism (contract governance and relational governance) as mediator and entrepreneurial project innovativeness as moderator. The empirical results from 206 Chinese start-ups show that both contract governance and relational governance may mediate the positive influence of industrial experience heterogeneity on venture growth performance. Entrepreneurial project innovativeness weakens the positive effects of contract governance on venture growth performance while strengthens the positive roles of relational governance on venture growth performance.
