Why Employees' Innovation Behavior is Different:a Double-path Study on the Influence of Achievement Goal Orientation on Employees' Innovation Behavior |

Abstract Innovation is essentially a process of new knowledge generation, this study based on the goal orientation theory and the knowledge management theory, introduces two variables, knowledge sharing and knowledge hiding to study the influence mechanism of achievement goal orientation on innovation behavior, constructs a theoretical model of multi-category achievement goal orientation influencing innovation behavior through dual paths, and considers the influence of situational factors. Through empirical research, it is found that different achievement goal orientation has different effects on innovation behavior, learning goal orientation and performance approach goal orientation both have positive effects on innovation behavior, and knowledge sharing plays an intermediary role. Performance avoid goal orientation has a negative effect on innovation behavior, and knowledge hiding plays an intermediary role.
