Abstract In a dynamic and complex environment, it needs to be clarified whether team reflexivity has a cross-level influence on employee creativity. Integrating socially embedded model of thriving at work and psychological ownership theory, this paper investigates the influence of team reflexivity, thriving at work and psychological ownership for job on employee creativity. We test the hypotheses through collecting the paired data from 61 team supervisors and 360 subordinates and using hierarchical linear model and related analytical methods. The results show that team reflexivity has significant positive influence on thriving at work and employee creativity; thriving at work plays a cross-level mediating role in the relationship between team reflexivity and employee creativity; psychological ownership for job positively moderates the impact of thriving at work on employee creativity.
