Abstract This study based on the positive emotion theory,exploring the influence of mentoring relationship on job vigor and also the moderate effect of emotional intelligence.The results show that:mentoring relationship has a significant positive effect on innovative job performance and job vigor; job vigor has a significant positive effect on innovative job performance; job vigor fully mediates the process of mentoring relationship affecting the innovative job performance of protégé;emotional intelligence doesn't play the moderating role between job vigor and innovative job performance.
