Abstract Previous literatures have proved that R&D capabilities are positively correlated to firm's innovation performance. This research discusses the transformation process of The R&D capabilities to innovation performance. We analyze this process based on the perspective of technological integration theory and organizational integration mechanisms theory, and then use combining data of subjective and objective from manufacturing firms in Guangdong province. The results show that technological integration mediating the relation between R&D capabilities and innovation performance. In addition, organizational integration mechanism has three sub-dimensions: coordination capability, systems capability and socialization capability. The coordination capability and socialization capability moderate the relation between R&D capability and technological integration. Meanwhile, socialization capability moderates the relation between technological integration and innovation performance.
