Abstract Faced with the pressure of resources and the environment, green project has become a huge resource consumption of the building industry's new development direction, to project efficient, energy-saving and environmental protection.But based on the existing traditional technology, there are still many difficulties in achieving green projects.BIM technology as an indispensable future development, the author began to explore the BIM technology will be applied to the project, whether to help achieve green project.This paper first introduces the concept of green engineering, analyzes the present situation of the application of BIM, and take Chengdu Nancheng duhui Sixth hui cai yuan commercial and residential projects BIM practices as an example, from the project BIM practice planning, tender offer strategy analysis, pipe ensemble optimization, such as picking the quota for the analysis and argumentation, the conclusions of BIM help green engineering implementation, it has huge potential and still needs development in the future.
