|
|
Abstract The research on organizational territoriality has been developed for more than ten years, ever since the introduction of the concept into organizational field by Brown et al. in the year of 2005. The topic aims to reveal the underlying relationships among members in the organization, which provides a distinct perspective both for theoretical development and management practice. However, researchers, by far, have not pay much attention to this topic. Based on what have been accomplished in this field, this paper clarifies the existing conceptions and scales of organizational territoriality and summarizes the existing theoretical and empirical studies in the aspects of antecedents and outcomes. Future study should extend the core concept of organizational territoriality, strengthen the localized theoretical constructions, and clarify the important casual variables connecting territoriality in order to explain employee behaviors and guide practice in enterprise management.
